HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — The Houston County Commission still awaits a written offer from the city of Dothan for the Houston County Farm Center.

The assistant city manager for the city of Dothan told WDHN news that the city is still putting together the offer which is why they have not sent the county an official offer in writing. He said the city is making sure they don’t miss a step and get every detail in before sending the offer.

Last week it was reported that Dothan offered to buy the farm center from the county for $2.5 million leaving the fate of the farm center in the air until after the new year, according to the chairman of Houston County Commissioners.
