DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan has released the report for July’s 2022 sales tax. The city made a positive gain of more than $1 million in tax revenue.

Dothan has seen a 6.72% increase from this time last year, and an 11.61% increase from June 2022, according to data from the city. In total, the Circle City was $1.6 million over budget in monthly revenue for July.

The city is currently over $800,000 over the budgeted amount of revenue for 2022, as compared to 2021.

With these recent numbers, Dothan is well into the black going into the last two months of the fiscal year.

The fiscal year will end in September.
