HENRY COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — I got a chance earlier this week to sit down with Coach Stewart, who took Abbeville to a championship in his first season.

Last season after the Yellow Jackets went 2-7 you could say the community was stung. Come to find out the dynamic has shifted for this program; and its third-year head coach

COVID-19 sure played a role in the 2021 season, especially in smaller schools, but if you think that’s going to stop Abbeville this season you’re wrong.

Because everyone thinks they can beat Abbeville, but the Yellow Jackets know with six seniors returning; four of whom started in that championship game, along with eight offensive and defensive starters the stingers of Abbeville are ready to set the standard and with six more coaches they will put it down on the line this season

Coach Stewart is a perfect example of why a setback is only a setup for a comeback.
