DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan Wolves win at the buzzer over Enterprise 45-44 to claim the Class 7A Area 3 crown.

Future Troy Trojan Thomas Dowd hits a mid-range shot at the buzzer to give the home team the crown.

This marks Dothan’s first area title since they consolidated in 2019.

Both teams won on Thursday earning them spots in the 7A State Tournament, but a win on Saturday gives them a better seeding going into the state tournament.

On Thursday, Enterprise defeated Jeff Davis 67-52 and Dothan took down Lee 68-52/

This is the third meeting between the Wolves and Wildcats this year. Dothan won the previous two meetings by a combined 9 points. They defeated the Wildcats 47-44 in Enterprise and defeated Enterprise 49-43 in overtime when the two matched up for the second time.

The winner of Saturday’s area title game will face off against Baker, while the loser will face off against Mary Montgomery.
