ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) – It was an exciting day in the City of Progress celebrating the Enterprise High School 7A state championship boys basketball team.

The city held a parade to celebrate the first boys basketball title in school history.

The Wildcats won the state basketball title back in March beating James Clemens 66-64.

The team, coaches, color guard and cheerleaders marched from the courthouse down Edwards St. to City Hall.

There they were recognized by the city council with applause and certificates of their great accomplishment.

Head coach Rhett Harrelson says while it’s already been over a month since the victory the Wildcats are still on cloud nine.

“It’s special,” Harrelson said. “I keep using the same word, special. It really is though. The community, the turnout, the support it’s unbelievable. It’s a special place here in Enterprise. We’re just so happy. Anytime I can get that group together and celebrate them again, it’s always fun.”

Harrelson says what makes the team extra special is as great as they are on the court, they’re even better kids.
