ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Enterprise softball standout Taylor Danford will take her talents to Troy University.

Danford has attended Troy head coach Eric Newell’s softball camps since she was young and loves the energy he brings to the game.

Danford plays second base and shortstop for the Wildcats and will likely play second or in the outfield for the Trojans.

She says she is happy to play wherever she can help.

During her junior season with the wildcats Danford hit .396, had a .461 on-base percentage, two homers, ten doubles, four triples, 43 RBIs, and 52 runs scored.

She was nine of nine on stolen bases and only struck out nine times.

“I really love hitting, but I think I contribute the best on defense because I just have so much confidence in my defense,” Danford said.

As her senior season with the Wildcats begins she is most looking forward to having a fun season with some of her best friends.
