From Tiger to Jaguar: Elba linebacker commits to South Alabama

ELBA, Ala. (WDHN) — Elba’s Chrystyile Caldwell committed to play football at the University of South Alabama he announced on Twitter Thursday.

Caldwell is an explosive player on both sides of the ball.

The linebacker and running back chose the Jaguars over five other division one programs: Army, Georgia State, Syracuse, Troy and Washington State.

As a linebacker in the past two seasons he has combined for 123 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, six sacks, four forced fumbles, four recovered fumbles and an interception in 21 games.

The Elba senior is expected to be a major asset for the Tigers this fall.
