SKIPPERVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — A G.W. Long High School senior that has already racked up more than 1,000 career points will get to continue to add to that tally at Huntingdon College.

Avery Roberts helped lead the Rebels to an Elite Eight appearance this past season and now has put ink to paper to join the Huntingdon Hawks in the fall.

Huntingdon is coming off of an 8-15 record last season but will look to turn that around when Roberts arrives on campus; as he tries to begin a new trail to 1,000 collegiate points.

“I think the small-town feel of it and being able to live on campus, but also come home on weekends to see my family is the biggest thing for me,” Huntingdon signee Avery Roberts said. “Like I said, the coaching staff made me feel like I had been playing on the team for years.”

Coaches have already told Roberts to work on ball handling, as they are looking for Roberts to play on the perimeter.
