HEADLAND, Ala. (WDHN) — The Headland Rams baseball team is ranked third in the state for Class 5A and for good reason.

They’ve been dominant all season long. Their record sits at 20-2.

Last week the Rams swept Marbury winning 14-3 and 6-3.

Friday the Rams host Elberta, one of the teams the Rams knocked out of the playoffs last year so they’re prepared for the Warriors to be out for revenge.

A few Headland seniors say this tight knit team doesn’t plan to let anyone stand in the way of their postseason success.

“I think they’re definitely going to come for revenge, but we aren’t going to let them,” senior Karson Reinhardt said. “We’re going to do what we did last year, but up a notch.”

“Staying together, not losing momentum, staying focused,” senior Reigh Jordan said.

Eliot griffin “How we gel together and how we play as a team,” senior Eliot Griffin said.

The Rams host Elberta on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
