OPP, Ala. (WDHN) — Opp head football coach Mike Dubose is retiring after two years with the Bobcats.

In two seasons as head coach of his alma mater the Bobcats went 17-6.

This season Opp went 8-3, losing to W.S. Neal in round one of the Class 3A playoffs.

Dubose played under Bear Bryant at the University of Alabama and began his coaching career as a grad assistant for the Crimson Tide in 1975.

He was head coach of the Tide from 1997-2000.
