Rehobeth High School Football season preview 2022

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — After not loading the bus for post-season play, and missing the playoff three-peat and third-year head coach Pate Harrison says that a tough region was to blame.

“Our region was very tough last year and a couple of those games were hit or miss and could have went either way. So of course, last year did not meet the standards. We know we want, so we’re looking to Improve.” stated Harrison

Pike Road and Andalusia, leave the region welcoming Eufaula to the scene. The Rebels, don’t plan on finishing in 6th place this season, and that’s why they have been working on themselves.

“All summer here grinding trying to get bigger, faster, stronger just to improve on our tackling and everything. So I mean our guys know they believe hard work pays off, and that’s the price we’re paying”

After losing 11 seniors the Rebels return to the gridiron with 17 new men, and it’s not the seniors that lead this season, but rather the 34 juniors.

“You’re looking at a huge group there, so a lot of them guys have played a lot last year and I’m going to be relied on a Lot this year. We always say the seniors are the leaders, but there’s a bunch of juniors and sophomores that are having to step up.”

While the juniors may take over 9 spots on the offense, Rehobeth is heavy with senior leadership on the dark side of the ball.

The Rebels look to start their season off with a win as they go on the road to Ashford for a week 0 rivalry matchup.
