REHOBETH, Ala. (WDHN) — Rehobeth High School softball player, Honor Slayback, is taking her talents to the next level.

Slayback signed to play with Enterprise State on Wednesday morning.

Over her last three years as a starter she has the most stolen bases on the team with 70.

So far this season she has been successful on 19 of 21 stolen base attempts.

Slayback is the Rebels lead off hitter and has the most runs scored this season with 28.

She has a .409 batting average which is the highest on the team.

“It’s a big accomplishment for me, because growing up playing softball it’s always been my dream, ‘oh let me play college softball,'” Slayback said. “It’s just a big relief to know that I’m going somewhere that has a good program that will take care of me. I’m just overall very excited.”

Slayback says one of the biggest appeals of Enterprise State is that she’ll get to stay close to home.
