Strength is the secret sauce for Samson Tigers success in 2021

SAMSON, Ala. (WDHN) — The Samson Tigers hope to build off of a solid season last year.

The Tigers went 6-4, losing in the first round of the playoffs.

They aren’t content with just making it to the postseason.

This year’s goal is to earn a higher seed and host a playoff a game.

Fortunately for Tigers Head Coach Jason Wambles says this is probably the biggest and strongest group he’s ever coached.

“They get along and they really push themselves,” Wambles said. “Our part is just motivating them and organizing things and polishing up but with that experience comes a lot of responsibility for them to do those things because they feel like it’s time for us to leave a legacy here.”

Samson hosts Marengo in the first game of the season on Friday.
