Zion Chapel Rebels aiming for improvement on the gridiron

Local Sports

JACK, Ala. (WDHN) — Zion Chapel has a bad taste in its mouth about last season and will try to write a different story this year.

The Rebels went 1-9 last year.

Fortunately for the team a lot of linemen are coming back on both sides of the ball.

Newbies on the team include athletes of other sports.

Fifth year Head Coach Randy Bryant is excited about the veteran and new talent and has one goal for his team.

“We’re not guaranteed to win any, but I think six plus is our goal every year and we expect to go out and compete every game, have a chance to win sometime in the fourth quarter and just give 100% effort and let the chips fall where they may,” Bryant said.

The Rebels first game is Friday night at Florala.
