TROY, Ala. (WDHN) — Troy softball is hosting a ranked opponent this weekend in the Lousiana Ragin’ Cajuns, who come in at #25 in the rankings.

Troy gave the Ragin’ Cajuns something to remember Friday night as former G.W. Long Rebel Libby Baker crushed a two-run homer to give Troy the early 2-0 lead. This was Baker’s 11th homer of the season, but the Trojans have a knack for the dramatic as in the bottom of the seventh, Trojans trailing, it was all Audra Thompson who crushed a walk-off home run to give the Trojans the 8 to 7 victory and an advantage going into Saturday.

However, it would be the Ragin’ Cajuns, who come away victorious with a 9-2 victory over the Trojans, which sets up a rubber match Sunday afternoon from the Troy Softball Complex.
