Wicksburg softball pitcher signs with Judson College


WICKSBURG, Ala. (WDHN) — A Wicksburg sotftball pitcher dotted the line to where she fill further her talents Tuesday morning.

Shelby Holland, a pitcher and outfielder, signed a letter of intent to Judson College in front of a room full of coaches, family and friends. Judson is a four year Baptist women’s college in Marion, Alabama.

At the signing, coaches shared positive things about Holland on and off the field along with her success during travel ball as a Dothan Warrior and with the Panthers.

Hudson says putting down her John Hancock was a phenomenal feeling considering she was unsure about playing softball on the next level.

” It feels good that my hard work paid off and that I get to further my education, get to continue playing softball and create new friendships and just a new dynamic on the team and everything,” Holland said.

Holland says she heading into Judson College undecided but she’s very interested in social work.
