JACKSON COUNTY, Ala (WDHN)— A woman from Ashford was killed, and three other people, including a young girl, were severely injured during an early morning crash in Jackson County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck driven by the unidentified Ashford woman was traveling South on State Road 273 when it crossed the road’s center line and sideswiped a sedan traveling north on the same road, causing the sedan to spin around.

The driver of the Sedan, a 57-year-old woman from Chipley, sustained serious injuries.

Troopers say the pickup truck driven by the Ashford woman crashed head-on with another truck behind the Sedan.

The Ashford woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was killed during the crash. The driver of the second truck, a 49-year-old woman, and the passenger, a 6-year-old girl, both from Chipley, sustained critical injuries and were also not wearing seatbelts, according to Troopers.
