BUTLER COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — A Newton man killed in a Friday crash has been identified.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency identified the man as 48-year-old Clinton Jeffrey Waltz.
According to ALEA, Waltz was killed when the 2013 Kia Optima he was driving collided head-on with a 2012 Ford F-250 driven by 38-year-old Casey Carroll Callister of Citronelle.
Walts was pronounced dead on the scene.
Troopers say Callister was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Friday, October 13, on Highway 106, approximately 14 miles west of Brantley.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating.
