JACKSON COUNTY, Fla (WDHN) — An Ashford man was injured after the semi-truck he was driving crashed in Jackson County, spilling hundreds of gallons of fuel.

According to Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol, the semi-truck was traveling south on County Road 286, near Interstate 10, when the driver failed to stay in his lane and lost control, crossing the center line, running off the road toward the east shoulder, and into the ditch.

Troopers say the semi hit several trees and overturned, causing significant damage to the tanker the semi was hauling. This caused an estimated 400 gallons of fuel to spill.

The 47-year-old Ashford driver suffered minor injuries during the crash.
