DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Beginning on Tuesday, September 5, Girard Avenue at Montgomery Highway will be closed for storm drain repair.

The closure is necessary due to contractors working to repair a storm drain in the roadway.

The work will begin after the afternoon school traffic is cleared from the area and is expected to last throughout the night until the repair is complete.

Motorists are reminded to use caution while traveling through the area.
