DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — In response to the increase of COVID cases, the Dothan Opera House is making some changes to their policies.
The Dothan Opera House is a popular preforming arts venue that hosts many events such as dance recitals, business seminars, community theatre, concerts, and much more.
So in order to keep audiences safe against the coronavirus, the city has put new rules in place for the venue.
“Now the city has directed that people coming into our venues, and the city offices, and our buildings that they must be wearing a mask, and we will have a mask provided for people when they come into the doors,” Dothan Performing Arts Director, Marshall Perry said.
Perry also says that since the Dothan Opera House’s brief shut down in 2020, they have put on a few events but not as many as usual. He hopes that the cases will go down soon and they can put on more events for the community.
