DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Meteorologist Andrew Clarke has your daily walk the dog forecast sponsored by Wet Pets of Dothan!

Another round of showers and storms is on tap for your Wednesday, particularly during the afternoon hours. Some of these storms will have the potential once again to become strong to severe, but the overall scope of the threat today looks to be on the lower end when compared to what we saw yesterday.  If a storm becomes severe, we could see damaging winds up to 60 mph, large hail, and possibly an isolated tornado. The tornado threat, in particular, will be very low since there will be less shear in the atmosphere than yesterday. Temperature-wise, we’ll be a couple degrees warmer than yesterday for highs, topping out in the low 80s.

With all this being said, the best time to walk your dog today will be during the morning hours before any potential storm activity develops later on in the day. Have a great rest of your Wednesday and stay safe!
