DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Meteorologist Andrew Clarke has your daily walk the dog forecast sponsored by Wet Pets of Dothan!
Expect scattered showers and storms throughout the day today once again with the same setup in place as yesterday. A few of these storms will have the potential to once again become strong to briefly severe, with damaging winds the main threat. However, we cannot rule out the chance for an isolated spin-up tornado either if any of the storms can organize enough. Highs will top out near the 80 degree mark for most locations in spite of the higher rain chances. Thus, if you’re looking to take your dog out on a walk, I would recommend going in the morning to avoid any potential severe weather later today. Also, with rain chances being in the forecast for much of the day, it would be a good idea to check the radar on the WDHN Weather app before you and your furry companion head out to avoid getting caught in anything. Have a great Thursday!
