DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Meteorologist Andrew Clarke has your daily walk the dog forecast sponsored by Wet Pets of Dothan!
Scattered afternoon showers and storms can be expected once again today. These showers and storms, like the ones we saw yesterday, will have the potential to become marginally severe, with damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph and large hail the main threats. They will also be capable of dropping lots of rain over a short amount of time, which could lead to some localized street flooding and ponding of water on the roadways in spots. We’ll warm up to the low 90s prior to the arrival of rain and storms.
If you’re looking to take your dog out on a walk, the first half of the day once again is looking to be your best bet, as this will be when we’re mostly rain-free and not too hot. Have a great Thursday!
