DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Meteorologist Andrew Clarke has your daily walk the dog forecast sponsored by Wet Pets of Dothan!
Another round of widespread showers and storms can be expected today, especially from the mid-morning hours into the afternoon. Some storms could again be on the strong to severe side, with damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and even a brief tornado or two all possible. Our area is now in a Slight (level 2/5) risk for severe weather as of the latest Day 1 outlook issued by the SPC. Even though this severe potential is on the lower end of things, make sure to have a way to receive warnings and know what to do or where to go should a warning be issued for your area! We’ll only top out near 80 degrees for highs thanks to the fact that we’ll have overcast skies and rain around for much of the day. Overall, it’s not looking like a great day to take your dog out on a walk once again; I would recommend instead playing with your pup indoors today! Have a great Thursday and stay dry!
