DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Meteorologist Andrew Clarke has your daily walk the dog forecast sponsored by Wet Pets of Dothan!

Thanks to a cold front moving our way today, we can expect scattered showers to develop and move across the region during the afternoon hours. The good news is, the day will not be a washout and not everyone will see rain, as the chance area-wide will be around 40%. Highs will still be warm in the mid to upper 70s despite the increased cloud cover and areal extent of rain. Therefore, if you’re looking to take your dog out on a walk, I would recommend going during the morning hours before potential showers move in later today. You may be able to squeeze in a short trek between showers if you want to wait until the afternoon, but make sure to check the radar before heading out so you and your furry companion can stay dry. Have a great Thursday!
