DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Today will be another mostly sunny and hot day with highs in the upper 90s and low 100s. Much like yesterday, it’s important that you drink plenty of water, wear loose-fitting clothing, and take frequent breaks if you have any outdoor plans! Rain chances again will be isolated, with only a shower or two possible at best during the afternoon hours.
Similar temperatures can be expected tomorrow as we take another trip up to the upper 90s and possibly cross the century mark once again. Rain chances will be slightly higher than today at around 30% as we start to transition back into our typical summer-like pattern of sporadic afternoon/evening showers and storms.
Rain chances will go up even further to 50% on Saturday, which will help to finally drop our temperatures down a couple degrees. We’ll start the day in the mid 70s, but highs will be about 4-5 degrees cooler than previous days as most locations make it up to the mid 90s. Of course, this will be before rain and storms cool us off later on in the afternoon.
Chances for scattered afternoon showers and storms will stay in the forecast Sunday through Wednesday. Each of these four days will feature a 40% chance for rain and high temperatures near or just above average in the low to mid 90s. Lows will remain in the 70s.
