DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Today will be much cooler as most locations only make it to around the 60 degree mark for highs. Mainly sunny skies will prevail.
We’ll start warming back up on Friday as we rise from the low 40s into the mid and possibly upper 60s. A mix of sun and clouds will fill the skies.
Expect to begin Saturday and Sunday in the 50s and ascend to the low and mid 70s. Both days will feature partly cloudy skies and a 20% chance for showers as a frontal system and its associated shortwave clips our region to the north.
Monday will also have a 20% chance for showers as another shortwave brushes us to the north and brings in a little more moisture. We’ll reach the mid 70s after starting the morning in the upper 50s.
Tuesday will have a slightly lower, but nonzero, chance for an isolated sprinkle or two. There’s a chance high temperatures on this day could be flirting with or break records as the majority of Tri-State residents top out just below the 80-degree mark.
Rain chances will go back up to 20% on Wednesday as another front makes its way towards the region. We’ll remain very warm as highs again peak near 80 degrees, meaning we could potentially break another record on this day as well!
