DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Today will be our first rain-free day in quite a while as partly cloudy skies prevail. Highs will be slightly cooler than average as the majority of us peak in the upper 60s.

Thursday will begin a little chillier than today in the mid 40s, but the PM hours will end up being warmer than today as highs make it back into the mid 70s. Sunshine and a few high clouds will fill the skies.

Friday continues our warm-up as we ascend into the low 80s from the 50s underneath mostly to partly sunny skies.

Our next front will push in on Saturday and bring us a 60% chance for showers and storms, the majority of which will move through from the mid-morning through the early part of the afternoon hours. Some storms could be marginally severe. We’ll have more confidence on specific timing and threats in the days ahead, so check back for updates! We’ll begin the morning warmer in the mid 60s and end up in the low 80s like the day before.

A light shower can’t be ruled out Sunday morning, but the day will be dry otherwise. We’ll start the day near 60 degrees and make it up to the mid 70s.

Monday and Tuesday will both have a 20-30% chance for light showers as another system pushes across the Southeast. Afternoon highs will warm back into the low to mid 80s; morning lows will remain in the upper 50s to low 60s.
