DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Severe storms will be possible today across the Tri-State. Here are all the details you need to know:

TIMING: The window for severe weather potential has been pushed up a bit from the latest update. Storms will push into our northern and western communities first between 10 and 11 AM and will push southeast from there. Since we’ll have multiple storms that could potentially train over the same areas, the window will remain broad, not ending until 5 PM or so when storms finally exit off to the east.

THREATS: All modes of severe weather will be possible (damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph, large hail, and a tornado or two).

Like I mentioned during the morning show, make sure to have a way to receive warnings today! If you have the WDHN Weather app, make sure to have your location and notifications on, as they will come to you as soon as they are issued. Also, make sure to have the rain gear on hand and leave yourself some extra time on the roadways if you’re going out and about. Stay safe and weather aware today!
