DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Skies will remain mostly clear for the remainder of the night as temperatures fall into the mid 50s.

Sunday will be nice once again, with sunshine and a couple high clouds. Most locations will top out in the mid 80s like today. A shower or two cannot be ruled out during the evening hours as moisture makes its return to the region ahead of our next front.

Monday will have a 30% chance for showers and a couple storms as this front sweeps through the region. Highs will drop to the low 80s thanks to this system bringing in some cloud cover as well.

Behind this front, we can expect our most substantial shot of cool air so far this fall to push in, which will affect our temperatures greatly starting on Tuesday. We’ll kick off the morning in the low 50s and only make it up to the mid 60s as partly cloudy skies prevail.

Wednesday will begin even colder in the upper 30s. From there, we’ll only rise into the mid 60s again, but we’ll see much more sunshine compared to Tuesday.

Thursday will start off frigid again in the upper 30s, but we should be a bit warmer for the afternoon as highs climb a few degrees into the upper 60s with sunshine and a few clouds filling the skies.

Friday sees us return to the 70s for the first time in a while after waking up in the low 40s. Mostly sunny skies will prevail once again.

We’ll ascend to the upper 70s on Saturday as we stay dry and mainly sunny to kick off next weekend.
