DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Showers and storms will taper off this later evening. Expect mostly cloudy skies for much of the night. Temperatures will stay around 70 degrees.

Friday has a cold front slowly moving through the region. It will bring us a 60% chance for showers and storms, but it won’t bring us a significantly cooler airmass. Temperatures will still start around 70 degrees and end up in the low 90s. If you get a shower or storm, the rain-cooled air will feel fantastic!

Saturday will be mostly sunny and warm with highs yet again in the low 90s. An isolated shower is possible.

Sunday keeps us in the 90s and keeps a low-end rain chance in the forecast as well.

Monday has a 40% chance for showers and storms. Morning lows and afternoon highs will be similar to previous days as we start around 70 degrees and end up around 90.

We’ve got another more warm morning and a toasty afternoon on Tuesday as we start in the low 70s and peak in the low to middle 90s.

Wednesday and Thursday will both be very toasty with everyone reaching into the middle 90s. Fortunately, we have a 30% chance for rain both days.

Potential Tropical Cyclone #1 will likely become Tropical Storm Alex sometime on Friday. It’s still expected to impact the Florida Peninsula this weekend with very heavy rain, gusty winds, and even the possibility of a few tornadoes. This system will NOT impact the Wiregrass.
