DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Tonight will be rather cool for this time of year from a low temperature standpoint as most locations drop down into the mid 50s under mostly clear skies.

MOTHER’S DAY FORECAST: Wall-to-wall sunshine can be expected once again, which will make for perfect outdoor weather as you’re celebrating Mom’s special day! After starting off the morning chilly, we’ll warm up nicely, reaching the mid 80s by the afternoon.

We’ll begin a new work week on Monday slightly warmer in the upper 50s. From there, we’ll take another trip up to the mid 80s for highs. Sunny skies will again prevail!

We’ll wash, rinse, and repeat that same exact forecast for Tuesday. Another round of sunshine will be on tap as we climb from the upper 50s to the mid 80s for afternoon highs.

Wednesday and Thursday will follow in a similar fashion as the two prior days, but with slightly warmer temperatures. Expect low 60s to kick off both mornings followed by a trek up to the mid to upper 80s.

Our extended run of dry weather will finally come to an end on Friday as a 20% chance for showers returns to the forecast thanks to moisture pushing westward from a low pressure system out in the Atlantic. We’ll once again start the morning in the low 60s and top out in the mid 80s for highs.

Rain chances will go up a bit to 30% on Saturday as the influence of this aforementioned low starts to push closer to our area. After waking up to slightly milder temperatures in the mid 60s, expect to rise into the low to mid 80s for highs as we cool off a bit from previous days thanks to a higher coverage of rain and clouds.
