DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Rain chances will be much lower as we end the work week with only an isolated sprinkle or two possible early in the day. Highs will be warmer as we make our way back into the low 80s.
Our next batch of unsettled weather moves in on Saturday with the approach of another front. Short-range models are picking up on another line of showers and storms that could move through during the PM hours and bring us the potential for all modes of severe weather (damaging winds up to 60 mph, large hail, and an isolated tornado), especially for our southern communities. The further north you go, the threat for severe weather drops off a bit, but it’s still there. We’ll have a better idea of timing with future model runs, so stay tuned for updates! We’ll start the day in the upper 50s to low 60s and make it up to the low 80s.
A shower or two could stick around into early Sunday, but we’ll be dry after that. High temps will be cooler in the middle 70s.
Monday and Tuesday will both be very nice days with mostly sunny skies! Morning lows will be in the 50s and afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 70s.
Wednesday will be partly cloudy with an isolated chance for a sprinkle. We’ll return to the 80s for highs while lows stay in the 50s.
Thursday will likewise be partly cloudy, but with no chance for rain. Highs will drop back to the upper 70s.
