DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A couple of small showers or storms are possible this evening, but the vast majority of our area will stay dry this evening and tonight. Temperatures will slowly drop into the middle 70s tonight.

Monday will have a 70% chance at showers and storms with mostly sunny skies during the morning becoming more cloudy during the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will be in the upper 80s with a few folks peaking in the low 90s. Heat indexes will be around 100 degrees.

Tuesday’s rain chances will sit around 60% during the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will likely be around 90 degrees.

Wednesday could be the only day with less than a 50% chance for rain over the next week. Highs will be around 90 degrees yet again.

Thursday and Friday both have a 60% chance for showers and storms with highs yet again in the upper 80s to low 90s. Rain chances will be partially dependent on the location and development of a potential low pressure system in the Northern Gulf of Mexico.

Both days next weekend will be highly dependent on the formation of that area of low pressure in the Gulf. If it does form and moves inland on Saturday, then our rain chances will go up drastically. If there is no development of low pressure, then we will be drier. Temperatures should be in the upper 80s either way.
