DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — We’re going to wrap up the work week with yet another round of rain and storms. Like the last several days, showers and storms will be slow-moving in nature, so they will have the potential to drop lots of rain in a short amount of time. This could lead to some localized street flooding and ponding of water on the roadways in spots. Thanks to the fact that we’ll see more clouds than sun and a slightly higher coverage (60% chance) of rain and storms, most folks should only top out in the upper 80s today.

The weekend will be a bit drier as a ridge settles in over the Southeast. Only a couple of us will see showers on Saturday as rain chances drop off to 30%. Rain chances will go up just a touch to 40% on Sunday. We’ll return to the low 90s for highs with a fair share of sunshine and dry time expected both days.

Rain chances will go up a little bit more to 50% on Monday. We’ll begin the morning mild in the mid 70s and reach the low 90s once again by the afternoon.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will all feature slightly lower rain chances than Monday in the 30-40% range. No change in temperature is expected, as highs stay in the low 90s and lows remain mild but seasonable in the 70s.
