DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The showers and storms we’re seeing now (as of 5:48 AM) should wrap up over the next few hours. We won’t be done with wet weather after that today, as more scattered showers and storms will develop and move across our area during the PM hours. Severe weather is not likely, but heavy rain will be possible in storms that move across the same areas over an extended period of time. Highs will be much cooler than yesterday as the majority of us struggle to get past the mid 70s.
Wednesday will be slightly warmer with highs in the mid to upper 70s and lows in the lower 60s. A few showers will still be possible, but rain chances will be far lower than today.
Thursday will our first entirely dry day in quite a while with lots of sunshine and only one or two clouds! We’ll start the day a bit chilly in the upper 50s to near 60 but end up making it back up to the low 80s for highs.
Friday will be just as nice with mainly sunny skies, morning lows near 60, and highs in the low 80s.
We’ll stay sunny for the most part on Saturday as well. We’ll begin the day in the low 60s and soar to the mid 80s.
Low-end rain chances will make their way back in on Sunday. Highs will again be in the mid 80s.
Monday will have a 10-20% chance for showers and highs in the mid 80s too.
