DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — We will dry out over the next couple hours and remain dry for the rest of the night. Temperatures will hover around 70 degrees.

Wednesday brings back solid rain chances during the afternoon hours. There is a Marginal Risk for severe weather. The main threat is gusty winds up to 60 mph. Highs will top our in the middle to upper 80s before the storms roll in.

Thursday will bring us a couple rounds of showers/storms. Storms (some strong) could start as early as mid-morning. The dense cloud cover during the day will prevent our temperatures from climbing above the low 80s. Another round of storms is likely Thursday evening as a front moves across Alabama. There is a Marginal Risk for severe weather in the form of damaging winds. Minor flooding is also possible.

Friday – Sunday will all be mainly if not entirely dry. Temperatures will struggle to hit the middle 80s on Friday, be they will be well into the middle 80s on Saturday, and most folks will top out in the upper 80s on Sunday. Morning lows will be in the low to middle 60s all three days.

Memorial Day will be partly sunny with a 20% chance for rain. Afternoon highs should be around 90 degrees.

Overall, Memorial Day weekend and much of Memorial Day itself should be perfect for grilling and spending lots of time outdoors!

Tuesday brings us a 40% chance for showers and storms. Temperatures will drop back to the middle or upper 80s.
