DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Tonight will be tame with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 40s.

Saturday will have off-and-on light showers from morning until evening. It will also be a bit dreary with cloudy skies and temperatures in the middle to upper 50s. Showers will pick up during the evening hours with heavy rain likely overnight into Sunday morning.

Sunday will be cloudy and rainy with moderate to heavy rain at times. A low pressure system will travel across the region, so some places south and east of Dothan will be in the 70s while most of SE AL will be in the 60s. Some storms could be strong at times.

Monday should be dry with morning lows in the low 40s and highs in the upper 50s.

Tuesday could have some showers and a couple storms with highs in the middle 60s. Storms roll in overnight into Wednesday morning. We expect these storms to be strong to severe with very damaging straight-line winds and tornadoes possible.

Wednesday starts off stormy, but it will end much nicer. Highs will peak in the low to middle 60s.

Thursday and Friday both start in the middle 30s and end up in the 50s with partly cloudy skies.
