DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Today will be several degrees warmer than yesterday as the majority of Wiregrass residents top out in the middle 60s. Mostly sunny skies will prevail.

Our first of three systems this week will move through on Tuesday and bring us a 30% chance for showers. We’ll peak in the middle 70s after beginning the morning in the low 50s.

We’ll stay mostly cloudy and keep in a low-end chance for a shower or two on Wednesday. Morning lows in the upper 50s and afternoon highs in the mid 70s can be expected.

A second cold front will push in on Thursday. Ahead of this system, we’ll have a little more moisture to work with, so we’ll likely see a higher coverage of showers and maybe even a few storms with rain chances rising into the 60% range. The good news is, the trough and lift needed for a decent shot at severe weather will be lifting north of our area, so storms will likely stay below severe limits; however, one or two strong storms cannot be entirely ruled out. It’ll be another mild day as we make it up to the mid 70s once more.

Friday will be dry and mostly sunny with morning lows down in the middle 40s and afternoon highs in the low to middle 60s.

Saturday and Sunday both have a 50% chance for showers and a couple storms with high temperatures in the 60s.
