DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Sunny skies and seasonably warm temperatures can be expected once again today. After starting off the morning in the low to mid 50s, we’ll climb back into the mid to upper 80s during the afternoon for highs.

Thursday will feature more of the same with another round of mostly sunny skies and near normal temperatures for this time of year. We’ll begin the day slightly milder in the upper 50s/low 60s and take another trek up to the mid and upper 80s.

Our extended run of mainly sunny and dry weather will finally come to an end on Friday thanks to an upper level low that will move in from the east. This low will bring with it an increase in cloud cover throughout the day from east to west and a 20% chance for a shower or two, mainly during the PM hours. We’ll only top out in the low to mid 80s for afternoon highs after waking up in the low 60s once again, another result of this system’s arrival to our area.

A 20% chance for an afternoon shower will be on tap for Saturday as well. Expect low 60s to kick off the first day of the weekend followed by an ascent to the mid 80s.

Rain chances will go up a bit to 30% on Sunday. We’ll start out the day even warmer in the mid 60s and creep up a touch in the high temperature department into the mid and upper 80s.

We’ll see rain chances drop back down to 20% on Monday as we continue to warm up. A return to the low 90s for afternoon highs can be expected after we begin the morning in the mid 60s. Outside of the low-end shower chance and very warm temperatures, we’ll see mostly sunny skies.

Rain chances will continue to trend downward on Tuesday, with only an isolated shower possible at best. Otherwise, we’ll see mainly sunny skies as we rise from the upper 60s/low 70s into the low 90s once more.
