DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)– It has been a beautiful day and week across the tri-state region but we do have a big change coming. This week we saw temperatures in the 80s but that is going to change. Temperatures are currently in the 70s for now but we can see that as our highs as we go into our weekend as a cold front progresses through the wiregrass.
We are going to cool off into the mid to upper 50s overnight and then we are going to be cloudy for most of our weekend and rain chances are going to hover between 30 and 40% throughout our weekend.
The good news is that it won’t be a washout but the bad news is we need the rain desperately as we are dealing with severe to now extreme drought conditions across the wiregrass. The extended outlook looks absolutely nice as well, as rain chances are looking more promising towards the middle of the week to help put a dent in the drought.
