DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Sunshine will prevail across the board again today! Most locations should end up being about 3-4 degrees warmer than yesterday as highs reach the middle to upper 60s.

We’ll start off Friday chilly, but not as cold as the last two mornings, with temperatures around the 40-degree mark. From there, we’ll rise into the low 70s during the afternoon hours under sunny skies.

Saturday will be even warmer as we ascend into the upper 70s from the low 40s. Sunshine and a few high clouds will fill the skies.

Sunday and Monday will also be mostly sunny. We’ll climb into the low 80s both afternoons from the upper 40s and low 50s.

Our next front will move in Tuesday into Wednesday. There is some uncertainty with the models as to which day specifically the front will move through. The GFS shows it moving through Tuesday, while the Euro is flipped and has it pushing in on Wednesday. The timing of this front ultimately determines which day will have a higher chance for rain. For now, given that the Euro tends to be more reliable this far out, we’ll go with that solution. Tuesday will have a 20% chance for showers, and Wednesday will have a 30% chance for showers and maybe a storm or two as the front slides into the Tri-State. Highs will remain warm on Tuesday as most locations make it up to the low 80s once again. Wednesday should be a bit cooler thanks to the front as high temperatures fall back to the upper 70s.
