DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A few showers and an isolated storm or two will be possible as we go through the day today. Not everyone will get in on these showers and storms, as rain chances will be hit-or-miss at around 30%. We’ll top out in the low 90s during the afternoon hours.

Drier air aloft from the area of high pressure keeping us locked in our summertime pattern as of late will aid in dropping our rain chances this weekend, with both Saturday and Sunday only having a 20% chance for a shower. With fewer opportunities for rain and thus more dry time expected both days, highs will creep up a couple degrees into the mid 90s.

Rain chances will go back up on Monday to 30% as moisture starts to increase once again across the region. We’ll ascend to the low 90s from the mid 70s.

Tuesday will likely be our wettest day for the upcoming week with a 50% chance for PM showers and storms. We’ll still make it up to the low 90s prior to the formation of rain and storms.

Rain chances will fall back into the 30-40% range for Wednesday and Thursday. There will be no drastic change in temperature from prior days, as we can expect to reach the low 90s both afternoons and cool down into the 70s both nights.
