DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Tonight has the chance for some hit or miss showers, but most of the strong storms should be out of our area. Temperatures will remain in the low 70s.
Tuesday will start off warm and end up hot as temperatures top out in the upper 80s. A few 90s won’t be out of the question. Scattered showers and storms will be possible during the day. The line of strong/severe storms will move through during the late afternoon or evening hours. Damaging wind gusts and a brief tornado or two are our main threats within the Slight and Marginal Risk areas. The worst of the severe weather should stay to our north and west.
Wednesday will have shower and storm chances as the front sits over the Tri-State. We have a Marginal Risk for severe weather with a damaging wind gust being the most like threat. Temperatures will hang around 80 degrees.
Thursday still has a low chance for some showers and a few storms, but the rain should move out by the second half of the day. Morning lows will finally return to the low 60s, and highs will be around 80 once again.
Friday will be sunny and pleasant all around as we start the day in the middle 50s and peak in the upper 70s.
Saturday and Sunday will bring us into the low and upper 80s respectively. We’ll be mostly or entirely sunny both days. It should be good weather for Mother’s Day activities!
Monday will bring back the warm nights and warm days as well as the rain chances.
