DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — It’s almost Christmas!! We’ll be warm tonight as southerly winds keep bringing in that Gulf of Mexico warmth and moisture. Temperatures will only drop to the low 50s. Some patchy fog will be possible.
Get to opening those gifts and the windows as well because temperatures in the 50s will feel great early on Christmas morning! Mostly sunny skies and very breezy southerly winds will take our temperatures into the middle 70s during the afternoon.
Sunday will start off near 60 degrees, and highs will top out in the middle 70s yet again.
Monday still has a low chance for an isolated shower, but there’s a high chance that we will climb into the upper 70s.
Tuesday and Wednesday both have a 20% chance for a couple of showers. Temperatures will start off in the low or even middle 60s and sky rocket into the upper 70s. There’s a chance that we might even break into the 80s on Wednesday.
Thursday is our best chance for rain next week as a front moves into the Southeast U.S. Scattered showers will be more likely to our northwest, but we still have a 40% chance for rain. Temperatures will remain warm.
Friday will keep a low-end chance for some lights showers and will likely allow us to finally cool off… to the low 70s. We’ll have to wait a bit long before we actually see cool weather return to the Wiregrass.
