DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — We had another beautiful day across the board here in the Wiregrass today. Overnight, we can expect the pleasant weather to continue with mostly clear skies and lows a bit warmer compared to this morning, with most spots bottoming out in the upper 50s.
If you’re planning on going out and about early Sunday morning, you might need a light jacket. However, as we go into the afternoon, you definitely won’t need it anymore, as we can expect to warm into the mid to upper 80s with plenty of sunshine to go around. It will definitely be another great day to go outdoors much like the last couple days, as dewpoints will still be comfortable in the upper 50s to near 60 area-wide.
For Monday, we will start out a bit warmer right around 60, and the uptick in high temperatures will continue for the afternoon, with upper 80s expected across the board with mostly sunny skies.
Tuesday will follow in a similar fashion, with mostly sunny skies on tap once again. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
Wednesday and Thursday will also feature mostly sunny skies as well. We will also reach the upper 80s for our highs on Wednesday. Thursday will likely be the warmest day overall, where afternoon highs could top out close to 90.
As we go into Friday, a cold front will start to push into our area from the northeast. We will likely stay dry as it moves through since there will not be enough moisture around for a shot at rain. Therefore, we can expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies once again. Highs will be a touch cooler in the mid to upper 80s.
The main thing that will be affected in wake of this front will be our high temperatures as we start next weekend, as they’ll drop back to the low to mid 80s for Saturday, again with mostly sunny skies sticking around across much of the region.
