DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — In preparation for tonight’s dropping temperatures, the National Weather Service has once again put out a warnings and advisories for frosty and freezing conditions. Whether it’s bringing them in or putting a tarp over them, do whatever you need to protect your most delicate plants before the cold gets them first! Temperatures will easily drop into the middle 30s with “feels like” temps in the upper 20s.
Saturday and Sunday will both be mostly sunny with warmer conditions. Saturday will start off in the middle and upper 30s and move into the middle and upper 60s. Sunday morning should be in right around 40 degrees but easily move into the low 70s by mid-afternoon.
Monday will be back to normal as highs in the middle 70s and sunny skies give us that ideal picture of a Spring day.
Tuesday will be a touch warmer than Monday and just as perfect!
Wednesday will be back in the 80s with more of the sunny and mostly sunny skies.
Thursday will also be in the 80s, but we’ll have increasing cloud cover as moisture builds back into the region. Rain will be moving in from the West, so we’ll put in a 20% chance for a few scattered showers. Timing on these showers isn’t perfect, but it looks like rain chances will be greater overnight into Friday morning. There are still a lot of unknowns when it comes to the potential for stronger storms with this set-up, but we’ll be monitoring the situation for that possibility.
Friday has a 30% chance for showers, and temperatures will be knocked back into the 70s.
