DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Wet weather will continue today with another round of widespread showers and storms expected during the PM hours. Some storms, like the ones we saw yesterday, could be on the stronger side, with gusty winds and heavy rain possible. Rain chances area-wide today will be around 70%. We’ll top out in the low 90s before rain and storms arrive and cool us down.

Friday will feature more of the same as rain chances rise back up to 80%. We’ll begin the morning seasonably mild in the low 70s, but unlike the last couple days, we won’t make it up to the 90s; most locations should only reach the upper 80s prior to another cooldown courtesy of mid-to-late afternoon and evening shower and storm activity.

Rain chances will remain elevated in the 60-70% range for the Fourth of July weekend as well. Make sure to have a backup plan to bring any outdoor activities indoors if needed! We’ll peak in the upper 80s on both Saturday and Sunday.

FOURTH OF JULY FORECAST: Rain chances will be more hit-or-miss compared to the last several days at around 50%. We’ll begin the morning in the low 70s and return to the low 90s for highs.

Tuesday and Wednesday will follow in a similar fashion to Monday, with rain chances around 40-50%. Expect to climb into the low 90s for highs both days from the mid 70s.
