***DO NOT LEAVE CHILDREN OR PETS IN THE CAR FOR ANY AMOUNT OF TIME THIS WEEKEND! IT COULD PROVE FATAL!***

Saturday will be very similar to Friday until we get into the afternoon. That’s when a 40% chance for scattered showers and a few storms might cool down some of us. An EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING is in effect for Houston County from 10 AM – 7 PM and Early County from 11 AM – 8 PM. Drink water, take frequent breaks indoors, and pay attention to what your body is telling you this weekend! Also keep an eye on young ones, the elderly, and those who are spending an extended period of time outdoors.

Sunday will be seasonably warm with highs in the low and middle 90s with “feels like” temps still above 105. With a rain chance of 50%, we’ll likely cool down significantly during the second half of the day.

Monday and Tuesday both have a fairly high chance for rain at 70%. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s to 90 degrees on Monday. Tuesday will be in the middle 80s.

Wednesday and Thursday should remain in the middle and upper 80s. Wednesday has a rain chance at 50% while Thursday has a better chance at being a bit drier.

Friday will also have 50% chance for rain with highs below 90 degrees.
